DIRECT SUPERVISOR:
Substitute A-G Content teachers report directly to the school vice-principal
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Familiarize themselves with currently used A-G curricula to teach A-G courses
- Prepare syllabi for A-G courses
- Conduct weekly office hours to provide additional support for students
- Grade all assignments for the courses that aren't auto graded by curriculum
- Provide grades for courses taught to the students supervising teachers
- Implement required accommodation in the virtual classroom setting and differentiates instructional supports according to student 504 and or IEP documents
- Maintains ongoing communication with Intervention and Special Education departments regarding the progress of students with identified disabilities.
- Work with assigned students to provide instruction in a virtual learning environment
- Use technology as an everyday tool for teaching, learning, and communicating
- Communicate with each student through synchronous online tools such as Zoom or Google Hangout, instant message, email, and/or phone on an as needed basis
- Stay current with relevant research and teaching/learning trends as required to improve student academic achievement
- Remaining familiar with school resources
- Engage in Epic California Academy process of employee observation and review
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Valid, current, and appropriate California state teaching credential
- State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237)
- Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years
