POSITION SUMMARY
The Math Intervention Specialist at Epic California Academy plays a crucial role in helping students
overcome challenges in mathematics through personalized, data-driven instruction in a virtual setting.
This position is vital for supporting student growth across various grade levels through collaborative
work with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement effective intervention
strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assess student needs through initial and ongoing evaluations to identify strengths and areas
- for improvement
- Design and implement individualized and small group intervention plans based on specific
- student needs
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology-based tools, to enhance math
- learning
- Track progress and adjust intervention approaches to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate support strategies into the regular curriculum
- Maintain detailed documentation of student performance and share progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop comprehensive support plans
- Provide professional development on effective math intervention techniques
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in math
- Build positive relationships with families and provide resources for at-home learning support
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention program and make necessary adjustments to
- improve outcomes
- Organize family outreach events to engage parents in the intervention program

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid California teaching credential
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
